Feeling Better

Well, the beta blocker is working like a charm. Unfortunately, it gives me terrible indigestion for which have to take Zantac. I'm not super excited about taking a medicine that I have to take another medicine to counteract the side effects of. I've talked to my doctor about it and will talk to her more next week. Right now, though, I'm not worrying about it and just revelling in the nice even beating of my heart. I felt so good today that I dyed sixteen pounds of sock yarn! I'll get a picture up when I can hang it outside tomorrow. Today, it keeps raining so it is hanging all around the house.

crummy! glad to hear you're doing ok. my nursing school advice- i know it's a small dose, but they say if you take 2 smaller doses a day, you might tolerate it better. also, they say to ALWAYS take it with a small amount of food. they say to have your thyroid checked (to make sure it isn't causing the problem- but that's unlikely, i guess), and to be careful if you ever have low blood sugar, since you won't get symptoms you usually do (since you don't have diabetes, shouldn't matter...). hope it works out and that you feel better! good to see you the other day!

So sorry to hear you've been under the weather. But happy to hear things are improving. I can't wait to see the dyed sock yarn.

If you need any advice on dealing with heartburn and indigestion, I'm your girl. After 15 years of living with GERD I know what works and what doesn't, what to eat and what not to eat, and just about every treatment option out there.
