I own a yarn store, I meet a lot of interesting people and a lot of silly stuff happens to me. Why not have a blog about it?

I Love Cambridge
On the way to meet Patience and Himself for dinner, I saw a man with a full beard wearing a Pith Helmet. Wished I'd had my camera. You just never know what you're going to see on a stroll through the People's Republic of Cambridge.
new york is similar. it's ok to just walk around being a dumbass. i love that you knew what to call that hat. i would have had to google 'jungle hat,' or 'dr. livingston i presume hat,' and i bet it wouldn't get the job done. (shut my mouth, both google image searches found one.)
In my family, the most-told story of my grandfather is about the time decades ago when he bought rounds of beer for British soldiers until one of them agreed to give him his pith helmet. He would pull it out for all sorts of occasions, like when a new boy would come over to pick my mom up for a date. :)
